Unique Selling Proposition or USP (Unique Selling Proposition English) is the clear and concise statement of the reasons why someone should do what you want. For businesses that often your customers buy your product / service, for your blog that people will visit, subscribe, and / or recommend to their friends.
The idea of ??the USP is not only to communicate what you do, but also to ensure that the person receiving the communication wants to know more about it.
Examples:
When Domino’s Pizza appeared promising market, “pizzas – on your doorstep in 30 minutes or less – or it’s yours absolutely free.”
Your USP clearly states what the purpose of your business, your product, and what sets them apart from the competition.
In the previous edition of Business Success as an example I used fictional blog of a store that sells organic food. The USP for this blog might be a little longer than the Domino’s Pizza:
The purpose of Organizable is to give information to help you to have a healthy lifestyle – by using organic food recipes, and book recommendations and nutritional supplements – and keep up to date with the news that affect and contribute the welfare of your family.
It took me a couple of minutes to create the USP, with a little more time could edit it had even more impact.
How your USP will help your blog …
Having this mini sales presentation written and memorized about what the goal of your blog, can give you great benefits. It will help among other things:
• Choose your Design Blog – Clearly, colors, pictures, number of columns, etc.. you choose, support and reflect your USP.
• Write Content – While not bad occasionally write an article or posting (English post) that has nothing to do with the usual, more than 85% of the content of your blog should revolve around the theme defined by your USP.
• Clarify your ideal prospects – If you have a clear idea of ??what you do, you will also have a good idea of ??who will want to read it, and therefore how to find them.
• Optimize your Blog for Search Engines – Associated your USP will be a couple dozen keywords in your articles regularly diligently.
• Engage the media, other bloggers, advertisers – All these people are often busy. When you can say in less than a minute what you do and how they can benefit you’ll see that the doors start to open.
Places where you can use your USP …
Once you have made your USP, you can use over and over again in different places with little or no change. For example:
• The slogan for your Blog – If you edit your USP could be the slogan you use in conjunction with your blog. For “OrganiBlog.com” could be: A healthy lifestyle. This will make your blog visitors know immediately what it is, and go to page “Introduction” for more information.
• The page “Introduction” to your Blog – USP OrganiBlog.com example could be the first paragraph of the home page of this Blog (commonly called “Initiation”), only need to expand that definition with a pair of paragraphs and go.
• Conversations – You can use the oral form of your USP to promote your blog to family, friends or people you meet by chance. And of course, as we saw, also journalists, other bloggers, etc. contact us by phone or in conferences or similar encounter.
• Business Card – There is nothing worse than to receive (or give!) A business card that contains only basic details. The container is thinking, “John Smith, Director of ABC SA And who was it? “Even months later, when the container does not remember where or who gave you the card, will know exactly what benefit to doing business with you if you include your USP. This will come to your blog to find out more if you are interested … but most likely not bother to do so without first having even a clue what to do.
• Electronic Signatures – Your signature, as you probably know, is a footnote (three to six lines) that includes the end of your e-mail and comments in forums or blogs. The most effective tend to contain the address of a website or blog, plus a USP to motivate who see it to click immediately.
